In high school, I would start my day off with a big cup of tea. My mom would wake me up in the morning & I would crawl out of bed & go out into the kitchen to find a big cup of tea waiting for me. Every day. I am now in my mid 30's & still start each morning with a big cup of tea. Tea soothes me- it comforts me- it warms me- it awakens me- it fills me up & livens my soul. I drink it throughout the day, regardless of the season. A big cup of hot tea tastes as good to me on a 100° day as it does on a 10° day. I get through life with a big cup of tea. I thought it only appropriate to name this blog the same thing as what I consider my soul fuel. Well, that and I thought it was more appropriate than naming it "A Big Cup of Cheap Wine".
I am a mother of two; a 13 year old girl and an 9 year old boy. I was a stay-at-home mom from the time my daughter was born until last fall when I went back to work as a special education paraprofessional. I miss my time at home as I have found it to be difficult to find the time to bake and craft like I used to; when I do find a keeper, I'll be sure to post about it here!
